The SP5 Look

With clear instructions from my wife, not to have anyone on the back of the bike, I have opted to go for the single seat option, with a desire to replicate the SP5 look.  I am keeping the old parts to allow it to go back to biposto configuration at some point in the future, but want this to look the part.

Here are some various photos of some of SP5 close up details that I am looking to replicate in the paint scheme and additional items, such as upside down rear caliper, seat pads, SP5 plaque (which I will spoof with a 888 number, as anyone in the know, will realise they didn’t make that many), bronze wheels and solid foot pegs.

I was lucky to get my hands on an original SPO rear subframe, seat unit (off a race bike – very beaten up) and the original seat pads. Over Christmas 2021 the SP5 look is now complete.
